This is a piece I created celebrating the release of The Technicolors' newest album Metaphysical. The cover of the album (shown below) is a black and white, zoomed in photo of a girl and has the title in bold letters at the top in a pink-orange color. Going off that vibe, I used one of the bands promo photos as a reference and rendered it in black and white to mimic the cover. For the background, I used the color of the album title and made a color palette comprised of shades of that color. Since the album, and much of their music, has an almost 60s Brit/slightly psychedelic rock vibe to it, I used inspiration from psychedelic patterns to create the background. For the lettering style, I stuck to a more retro-styled font that fit the aesthetic of the background.
